"I can have a timeline without worrying, I have a solid workflow, knowing that that part of the work is taken care of by my editor!"
Can you tell us how you got started in photography?
I started in 2012... I was a scrapbooker and needed to print photos in order to use them. I noticed people had stopped taking and printing photos so that's where I came in. Next thing I knew, people were requesting my photography services more than my scrapbooking services!
What was the first camera you ever purchased?
What's the latest piece of equipment you bought?
On average how many pictures do you take per wedding?
About 2000 per wedding. Less for portrait shoots of course.
How do you find inspiration?
Magazines, concerts, church!
What would be your dream assignment and where would it be?
Dream location: Paris. I would love to do portraits in front of the Tour Eiffel!
How do you spend your day away from the camera?
At the computer! Hahaha! If not in front of the computer, with my friends or with my family.
How much time did you spend editing each week before The Image Salon?
10 hours per week
Why did you decide to outsource? Why did you choose The Image Salon?
To spend more time with my kids, get away from the computer. After trying a few companies, nobody else could edit African American skin tones like The Image Salon could, so I stuck with them!
Now that you outsource, how has your business benefited from the extra time you have?
I definitely feel happier! I can have a timeline without worrying, I have a solid workflow, knowing that that part of the work is taken care of by my editor!
