Can you tell us how you got started in wedding photography?
(Jacob) After I finished business school, I got a job at a marketing department and they needed someone to do in-house photography. I was the only volunteer, realised I liked photography and from that moment I was hooked. Shot a bunch of different stuff, did blogging over a couple years and couples found me from there for their weddings. Shot 5-6 before I moved to Vancouver to start Nordica with Cole.

What was the first camera you ever purchased?
Nikon D700

What's the latest piece of equipment you bought?

On average how many pictures do you take per wedding?
5000

How do you find inspiration?
Mostly online. I browse various artistic websites and find inspiration from other artists in different fields.

What would be your dream assignment and where would it be?
Currently living the dream.

How do you spend your day away from the camera?
With my wife Alexandra and my cat Kurt at home, or at the gym.

How much time did you spend editing each week before The Image Salon?
In busy season, 4 out of 5 days, 8 hours a day.

Why did you decide to outsource? Why did you choose The Image Salon?
To save time. We tried multiple options before finding TIS and have never looked back after that.

Now that you outsource, how has your business benefited from the extra time you have?
Time management is a lot easier, and I can focus on other business related things. Best business decision so far!
